The Island Singers is a friendly, non-profit community chorus founded in 1972. We typically perform a Spring Concert and a Winter Concert each year at various locations throughout Ocean County.
Our mission is to provide quality choral music programs of a diverse make-up and broad appeal to Ocean County areas. Our philosophy is to use the art of music to foster a sense of community and family to our participants and audiences.
The Island Singers received funding this year from a grant administered by the Ocean County Cultural & Heritage Commission from funds granted by the New Jersey State Council on the Arts, a division of the Department of State.
The above grant, our membership dues, and your support allows us to pay for our rehearsal space, to update our music selection, to purchase new instruments/equipment, to compensate our professional Director and Accompanist, as well as guest musicians, and to continue to bring you free concerts.
You can mail a donation to The Island Singers, PO Box 622, Forked River, NJ 08731. We greatly appreciate your support.
